My original proposal was to create an urban diorama where houses and buildings became boxes containing books that commented on both the potential and devastation of urban culture. However, the creative process is never predictable. As it turned out what I needed to be making was a far more personal, introspective piece that I created as a way to help process what has been happening in my life. I needed to create a piece about transformation that would see me through and inspire transformation in me. I wanted to create art that would help me heal.
