Introduction to Relief Printing

Description:

Introduction to Relief Printing
with Erin Maurelli
Thursdays, May 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, June 7; 6-9pm

If you are curious about making prints, this is a great place to start learning! This workshop will provide a foundation of printmaking history and technique, giving participants the opportunity to develop fundamental skills in linoleum and woodblock cuts. You'll learn to pull prints on both the Vandercook and etching press, and we'll also go over the ins and outs of hand-printing so that you can continue your printmaking adventures in your home studio. Over the course of the class, each participant will be able to experiment with these skills while developing an edition of images. No printmaking experience necessary.
