Intaglio Processes: Drypoint

Intaglio printmaking is highly versatile medium utilized by artists in all fields as a direct process that encourages a rich variety of marks, tonal surfaces, and layer interaction. This course will demonstrate various drypoint techniques and processes for executing small fine art editions. Additionally, students are encouraged to experiment and use the intaglio process meaningfully in relation to their own imagery, as well as investigate methods of combining intaglio processes with their existing studio practice. Processes covered will include; direct drawing, creating tonal areas, wiping, and printing.
