"The visual marriage of illegal art (train graffiti) with Catholic icons -- Christ, Mary, the guardian angels, and various saints -- seems a visual contradiction at first glance. But in all reality, it's B.J.'s quirky personal way of experiencing her world. She lives with trains on a daily basis, and finds beauty in them. She discovers graffiti on the trains, and finds beauty in the letterforms and colors. She finds solace and beauty in the saints, angels, and Christ figures who adorn the walls of her gallery. She drops all of this beauty together in a big bowl and stirs it up and her art is what comes out. And it's as authentic, loving and detailed as her dioramas. She can't help but create rich narratives, images to ponder and meditate."
