Light Sensitive: Photogravure Books and Prints

Light Sensitive: Photogravure Books and Prints
January 15, 2016 – May 1, 2016

Opening reception: February 12; 5:30-7:30pm

Light Sensitive is a exhibition featuring new work from local artists Claudia Danielson, Marvel Gregoire, Carol Inderieden and Paulette Meyers-Rich. It features photogravure, a photo-mechanical process whereby a copper plate is coated with a light-sensitive gelatin tissue which had been exposed to a film positive and then etched, resulting in a high quality intaglio print that can reproduce the detail and continuous tones of a photograph.
