Join us for “Love Local” — MCBA’s annual Holiday Sale!
Saturday, November 19; 10am to 5pm
Free and open to the public
Shop Local! Shop Handmade! 2016 marks our fifteenth annual holiday sale, where every year we offer the most unique holiday shopping in town!
Our theme, Love Local, celebrates the rich craft traditions of the Twin Cities and surrounding areas — we’ve broadened the event to include artists working across the wide spectrum of mediums and artforms. Dozens of local and regional artists will be featured, selling handmade paper, artist’s books, blank journals, prints, posters, calendars, woodcraft, pottery, needlecrafts, and all manner of gift items. Browse hundreds of unique items and find the perfect gift for everyone on your list — heck, go ahead and pick up a little something for yourself, too. You deserve it. The festivities also include free hands-on artmaking activities for all ages.
Apply to be a Love Local vendor!
MCBA staff will be reviewing applications based on the quality of work as well as overall variety of work and mix of long-time vendors and first-time vendors. If you have participated in the past, please be prepared for this selection process to be more competitive.
If you currently have work in The Shop, we kindly ask that you do not remove it for Love Local.
Artists will be responsible for their own sales and for collecting 7.775% sales tax.
Applications must be received by October 10th, we will be reviewing applications on a rolling basis. Selected participants will be notified of their acceptance no later than October 14th.
