|
Free your creativity at MCBA, where we celebrate the book as a contemporary art form that takes many shapes – zines, screenprinted posters, paper sculpture, fine press books and much, much more. APRIL 2008
Cinquain Series If you like to write books and are curious about bookmaking, this class is for you! Focusing on the topic of your choice, you will construct a hard cover accordion book featuring a series of cinquain poems that you write in class. Bring your words to life by illustrating the pages with collage. Page design will be emphasized. This one-day class will give you many of the skills you need to continue writing and making books on your own. No experience necessary. Please bring a bag lunch. $50 ($45 members)
A combination of instruction and open experimentation, these week-long workshops are designed to give talented high school artists a chance to explore book arts in a professional studio environment with high-quality faculty and materials. Help your teen get started building an exceptional interdisciplinary portfolio. Open to students ages 14–18.
