with Laura Beyer
Wednesdays: September 29, October 6, 13, 20; 12–2pm CT
In this virtual workshop, create a series of dimensional artist’s book studies, or mock-ups of artist’s books, to help propel your book ideas into a physical form and out of your head! The focus of this workshop is on using text and found images to experiment and play with the book form. After making books, we will talk through what was made and identify how text, image, and book structure work together to create meaning in expected and unexpected ways.
This class will focus on making; brief demos will be followed by group work time and conversation. Stencil printing and pamphlet binding techniques will be demonstrated.
All skill levels welcome
