Mon-Fri, June 11-15; 10am-3pm
All skill levels welcome

This team-taught, week-long intensive will cover innovative uses of aqueous disperse pigments, an introduction to easy-to-use natural dyes including walnut and indigo, and other ways of coloring pulp and finished dried sheets. The first days will focus on paper production with a review of appropriate fibers and pulp processing for different coloring processes. By the end of the week all participants will have produced a beautiful portfolio of papers that make use of all the processes covered and a variety of fibers, accompanied by recipes and directions for continued production. Experienced papermakers are encouraged to bring papers they have produced for dyeing.
