Saturday, February 11; 10am–4pm CT
This in-person workshop will explore the many options for making paper wrappers and paper boxes suitable for protecting books and other small items. Focus on classic structures developed by Hedi Kyle including the star box, collapsing blizzard box, self-closing wrapper, and paper slipcases. The day will end with a hardcover portfolio designed to hold small sketches or other loose pages. Build comfort working with various papers, folding, and discerning paper grain. Enjoy the process of folding these origami-like structures that are satisfying to make and mostly non-adhesive. Some experience working with paper (folding and finding paper grain) is helpful, but not required.
All skill levels welcome

For individuals to whom these scholarships do not apply, register at the “Adult” rate and, if you are able, consider making a donation when registering to support MCBA’s efforts to make scholarships available.
All in-person program participants are required to wear a mask while in MCBA’s studios. See our COVID Safety Guidelines for more information.
