Have you ever wanted to invest in your own home screen printing studio but weren’t sure where to start? This period of social distancing is the perfect time for this creative home DIY!
Michelle and Kirsten’s live, virtual workshop will focus on the methods, techniques, and procedures employed in screen printing at home—without a darkroom! Set up your home screen printing space and gain fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to confidently explore and experiment within the medium of screen printing, including cutting stencils, screen printing with watercolors, mixing inks, printing layers, registration methods and techniques, printing on fabric and paper, printing effectively, and planning for successful screen prints. This workshop includes video office hours and a walk-through of each participant’s home studio setup. Open to all skill levels!
Certificate: 12 hours, Category A or C
$216 (10% discount for MCBA members).
Participants are responsible for sourcing their own supplies from the materials list. Teaching artists will answer questions about materials in advance of the workshop start date.
