Refresh your skills and build confidence in letterpress printing on the Vandercook press in this in-person, winter cardmaking workshop. Join other printers in choosing ink colors and type to set with guidance from the instructor. Simple backgrounds will be pre-designed in advance to maximize printing time and to allow for variation in card design. Each participant will set type (a short word or phrase, no longer than 30–40 picas wide). Participants will work together to lock-up type and troubleshoot printing issues. The focus of this workshop is on skill-building, community, and wintry cheer! Participants can choose from a selection of cards at the end of the workshop and all will come away with ten cards and envelopes, approximately 4.25 x 5.5 inches in size.
Register with a friend or family member to explore a new process together or to introduce them to a process you already love.
Past participation in Letterpress 1: Printing Basics or a similar introductory letterpress workshop is helpful, but not necessary to enroll in this workshop.
