Welcome back to our studios! Go beyond patterns and explore how to set your marbling off as a figure with a background. These pictures are suitable for framing as wall art and could be used for binding projects as well. This class draws on techniques from Turkish marbling (Ebru) but with an American twist.
Methods include: how to make the colors more intense, learning to draw/paint by managing the paint on the surface, and using both a stylus and combs to create patterns. It is recommended that participants take Introduction to Marbling or have some other marbling experience before registering for this workshop.
Certificate: 6 hours, Category B or D

For individuals to whom this does not apply, register at the rate listed first and, if you are able, consider making a donation when registering to support MCBA’s efforts to make reduced rates available.
All in-person program participants are required to be vaccinated and to wear a mask while in MCBA’s studios and the Open Book building. By registering for an in-person program, you agree to these terms. See our COVID protocols for more information.
