Papercut Explorations

Using historical traditions, explore an exciting approach to papercutting as visual storytelling.

Learn basic principles of design with full and empty shapes, create paper cuttings in black and white as well as colorful collage. During this intensive class of serious fun, discover the incredible variety of the contemporary papercutting scene and the many possible applications of this art form to other domains. Tips, tricks and resources will be provided. Open to all skill levels.

Certificate: 6 hours, Category D

Participants are responsible for sourcing their own supplies from the materials list. Teaching artists will answer questions about materials in advance of the workshop start date.
