Wednesdays: December 1, 8, 15; 7–9pm CT
This virtual workshop explores non-toxic and small-space-friendly approaches to relief printing through the use of natural dyes and modular designs. Learn how to make a versatile printing ink made of natural dyes and mordants (an additive that enhances and makes natural dyes more permanent), create and layer radial designs, carve designs onto a plate using an X-ACTO knife, and print by hand using a wooden spoon or baren. This workshop is designed to accommodate both first-time and experienced printers.
