Get acquainted (or reacquainted!) with MCBA’s screen printing studio and darkroom. Practice the photo emulsion process from positive creation and screen coating to exposure and reclaiming. Each participant will complete an edition of multi-layered screen prints and leave class with the confidence to work independently at MCBA’s Screen Printing Labs. Previous screen printing experience required (virtual Intro to Screen Printing: DIY Studio Setup or similar.)
Certificate: 6 hours, Category B
$120/participant (10% discount for MCBA members) + $15 materials fee
$60 for BIPOC participants (10% discount for MCBA members) + $15 materials fee
We are offering a reduced rate to BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) participants to honor equity and increase access and artistic opportunities for those who have historically been underrepresented in the book arts. For individuals to whom this does not apply, register at the rate listed first and, if you are able, consider making a donation when registering to support MCBA’s efforts to make reduced rates available.
All in-person program participants are required to be vaccinated and to wear a mask while in MCBA’s studios and the Open Book building. By registering for an in-person program, you agree to these terms. See our COVID protocols for more information.
Please note: Registration closes 12/2 at midnight (CT).
