Screen Print: Totes

Screen print your own unique design on a set of 3 tote bags! In this in-person workshop, discover how to screen print using hand-cut wax paper stencilswithout a darkroom. Instruction will cover stencil design, hand-cutting techniques, fabric ink, and tips for printing on fabric. 

Bring your sketches and ideas to the workshop. Your design may celebrate Earth Day, spring, or anything else you think up! Final designs should fit on a letter-sized sheet of paper (maximum width 8.5 inches). Simple designs are encouraged.

Certificate: 3 hours, Category A or D

$65/participant (10% discount for MCBA members) + $20 materials fee
$35 for scholarship participants (10% discount for MCBA members) + $20 materials fee
MCBA offers two scholarship types for workshops—Financial Hardship Scholarships and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) Scholarships—to honor equity and increase access and artistic opportunities for those who have historically been underrepresented in the book arts. For individuals to whom these scholarships do not apply, register at the “Adult” rate and, if you are able, consider making a donation when registering to support MCBA’s efforts to make scholarships available.
