Description of binding

I chose to fold and bind La Prose in the narrow version and tried to accentuate its verticality as extreme proportion seemed an important aspect of the original work.

The binding of leather-covered shaped boards with leather onlays is a combination of suggestions received from the book itself about juxtaposition of contrasting elements and of images and textures of a train ride through Siberia.

The binding is composed of a palette of grays to retain the visual impact of the intensity of the work inside.
