Team Building Workshops

Team Building Workshops

Community organizations, college classes, and corporate teams are invited to schedule private book arts workshops in MCBA’s studios!

Each workshop begins with a brief introduction to MCBA followed by a hands-on activity led by a professional teaching artist. Workshops are 2 hours long and have a 15-person maximum (except marbling, which has a capacity of 12 participants). Additional participants may be accommodated in a separate scheduled workshop (up to four groups can be scheduled at a time). Scroll down to learn more about our four workshop options.

Embrace collaboration and whimsy to create a unique poster using wood type from MCBA’s type collection. Choose a short phrase (no more than six words) to set in type and print on the Vandercook press.

Pay It Forward

For a donation of $300, your group can sponsor tuition for four adults to participate in Letterpress 1: Printing Basics through MCBA’s Financial Hardship and BIPOC Scholarships. Giving back is good for staff morale and it’s good for business—customers find value in funding an organization that gives back to its community.

Private workshops are typically offered on Wednesday to Saturday with afternoon and evening availability. If those days/times do not work for your group, it may be possible other times can be arranged depending on staff and studio capacity.
