Artist Talk: MCBA/Jerome Book Arts Mentorship

Tuesday, March 28, 2023; 6–7pm
Online via Zoom

Hear from the recipients of the MCBA/Jerome Foundation Book Arts Mentorship! Unlike the Jerome Residency, these early-career artists primarily practice disciplines outside the book arts. D’Angelo Christian is a Minneapolis-based photographer, Suriya Khuth is a Saint Paul-based independent curator and lens-based collage artist, and Leah Klister is a Minneapolis-based artist and art educator.

The recipients will be discussing their artistic processes, their experiences so far in the Mentorship program, and plans for their exhibition in the fall. At the end of the program, you’ll get a chance to ask any questions that arise.

Since 1985, the Jerome Foundation has helped emerging artists push the boundaries of contemporary book arts by supporting the creation of new work. Through these fellowship and mentorship opportunities, Minnesota artists of diverse disciplines have created book arts projects that challenge and redefine conventional notions of book form and content.
