Meet the four recipients of the MCBA/Jerome Foundation Book Arts Fellowship! Hear from printmaker Austin Nash, photographer and papermaker Shun Jie Yong, and collaborative zine-making-and-publishing team Sarah Evenson and Jade Juno.
Since 1985, MCBA has partnered with the Jerome Foundation to help early career artists push the boundaries of contemporary book arts by supporting the creation of new work. With generous funding from the Jerome Foundation, studio access, and guidance from MCBA, the fellows have spent the past year developing new independent projects. The fellows will offer insight into their artistic practices, including how they’ve creatively adapted their fellowship projects through the Covid-19 pandemic, and will discuss their upcoming group exhibition at MCBA in the fall of 2021.
